Le Refuge Chalet is a rustic yet modern chalet in chamonix - the apartment is situated in the delightful village of Les Houches, just 7km (4 miles) west of Chamonix. Superb Chamonix accommodation situated below the Mont Blanc Massif, the setting and location is stunning. The view from the south facing balcony looks directly up onto the slopes of Mont Blanc itself; to the left the top of l'Aiguille du Midi can be seen along side the other Aiguilles of Chamonix. Although only an 8 minute drive away from Chamonix town centre, the locationis ideal for those wanting to spend time away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre itself. Although conveniently accessible, the tranquil setting offers a place for relaxation, without being too far away from it all.

For those looking for a ski holiday in France the skiing in Chamonix is outstanding. The Vallee Blanche presents the longest off piste skiing in Europe at 24km.

The nearest bus stop is a short walk (about 250 metres) to the main road, down a delightful country lane with ancient wooden chalets lining either side. There are regular buses to and from Chamonix both during the winter and summer season. The nearest supermarket is 600 metres away; the village centre of Les Houches is about 800 metres (1/2 mile), with bars and restaurants dotted along the way.

There is private parking directly outside the apartment and the use of a locked garage. For those visiting in the winter season there is a ski-locker in the basement of the chalet. Please note that in winter, snow chains may be necessary for access.
